I'm Assistant Professor in Early Modern History at the University of Groningen.

​My research focuses on religious coexistence, conflict, 
and transnational movements in early modern Europe.

My current research project Building Peace examines
transitional justice after the French Wars of Religion, in order
to understand the failures and successes of peacebuilding strategies.
